South Coast Tap House, Merimbula’s new small bar located in the Galleria Arcade, offers a Melbourne laneway-inspired setting where every visit is a journey of discovery. Enjoy locally brewed beers, wines, and spirits alongside curated food pairings. With interactive beer education, tap takeovers, and a constantly rotating selection, it’s more than a bar — it’s an experience you’ll want to savour and share.
What Makes Us Different?
It starts with our people. Our staff are trained Certified Cicerone® Beer Servers — similar to wine sommeliers, but for beer. They are experts with a deep understanding of beer styles, flavours, and food pairings. We’ll help you discover your flavour preferences and guide you to the perfect beer. With a huge range of styles to explore, we’re confident you’ll find something you love.
What is a Beer Journey?
A Beer Journey (sometimes called a tasting paddle or flight) is a curated selection of beers designed to take you on a flavour adventure. We create bespoke journeys to match your preferences, whether you’re a novice or a seasoned beer enthusiast. From crisp pilsners and hoppy pale ales to tangy sours and rich dark beers, each glass reveals new flavours and opens your mind to fresh experiences.
What If I Don’t Like Beer?
Of course, we’d love to change your mind and help you find that unicorn beer you actually enjoy — and we’re pretty good at it! But if beer just isn’t your thing, or you simply feel like something different, we’ve got you covered. Choose from a handpicked selection of local wines, craft gins, and single malt whiskies. We also serve premium RTDs and a few crowd-pleasing cocktails. Whatever your taste, you’ll never go thirsty at the South Coast Tap House.
Can I just order a Drink?
Absolutely! If you know what you want, just order it. If you’d like guidance, we’re always happy to help you find something new or interesting.
Will You Offer Low Alcohol and No Alcohol Options?
Absolutely! Our range of low-alc and no-alc drinks are chosen with the same care and attention as our full-strength selection. Every option is hand-picked for maximum flavour, so you can enjoy a great tasting beer (or other drink) no matter the ABV. Whether you’re pacing yourself, driving, or just prefer something lighter, you’ll still get the full South Coast Tap House experience.
