South Coast Ale Trail takes out Regional Tourism Awards

South Coast Ale Trail takes out Regional Tourism Awards

We’re thrilled to announce that the South Coast Ale Trail has been recognised as the 2025 Winner of the Outstanding Visitor Economy Collaboration Award.

This prestigious award celebrates innovative projects that showcase regional strengths and drive meaningful impact on the local visitor economy. It recognises the collective efforts of Local Business Chambers, councils, visitor centres, tourism associations, and groups of operators working together to deliver something truly unique for their community.

For us, the South Coast Ale Trail has always been about more than beer. It’s about connection – linking 30 independent breweries along the stunning NSW South Coast, from Wollongong to Pambula, into a shared story and journey. Together, we’re showcasing the creativity of local brewers, highlighting the region’s vibrant food and tourism offerings, and encouraging visitors to stay longer, explore further, and support local businesses.

What makes this award especially meaningful is that it reflects the collaboration behind the Trail. Each brewery has invested in building an experience that celebrates not only great beer, but also the communities, landscapes, and people that make the South Coast so special.

Winning this award is recognition of the role the Ale Trail plays in strengthening the visitor economy – creating reasons for people to travel, stay, and spend in our region. And while we’re proud of this achievement, we know the real winners are the visitors who get to enjoy the journey and the communities that benefit from their support.

This award highlights not only the quality of the breweries and beers you’ll discover, but also the unique collaboration that makes the Trail possible – a celebration of community, creativity, and the vibrant visitor economy of the South Coast.

Remember the South Coast Ale Trail is not a destination, it’s a journey, so start planning your journey today
