The South Coast Tap House is now open and Merimbula and is becoming a Go-To Spot for Beer Lovers on the South Coast.
Since opening its doors in November 2025, the small laneway-style bar has built a reputation as a place where people can discover new beers, learn a little about what’s in their glass, and simply enjoy great drinks in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
The concept behind the Tap House is simple — every visit should feel like a journey of discovery.
Instead of the same beers on tap all the time, the lineup is constantly changing. When one keg finishes, something new takes its place. That means there’s always another style to try, another brewery to discover, and another flavour to explore.
For those who want to dive a little deeper, the Tap House offers guided tasting Beer Experiences. These curated tastings allow guests to sample a range of different beer styles and discover what flavours they enjoy most — whether that’s a crisp pilsner, a fruity sour, a hop-forward pale ale, or a rich dark beer.
But you don’t need to be a craft beer expert to enjoy it.
In fact, many guests arrive saying they “don’t like beer”… and leave having discovered one they love.
The team at the Tap House — known as Beerducators — are always happy to help guests explore the menu or simply recommend something new to try. It’s all part of creating a fun, interactive experience where beer is something to talk about, not just something to drink.

Adding to the experience is the Tap House’s new neighbour in the arcade, Sapphire Smokehouse, which serves up slow-smoked barbecue favourites including brisket burgers, pulled pork tacos and other mouth-watering dishes.
The combination of smoked meats and craft beer has quickly become a winning pairing, with many visitors grabbing food from the Smokehouse and enjoying it alongside a fresh pint at the Tap House.
